Choose between Linux webhosting and Windows webhosting
As a ExactHost costumer you have the choice of 2 types of hosting platforms. ExactHost provides Linux webhosting and Windows webhosting for the same price and you can always switch to different platforms as a customer. For most customers this makes no difference and the hosting package is created as standard on a Windows server.
A big difference between the two platforms is that Microsoft Windows webhosting supports more development platforms. In addition to PHP, which runs on all platforms, the Microsoft Windows platforms offer support for Classic ASP, ASP.NET and the MVC Framework.
Choice of different versions
Within Linux and Windows ExactHost also gives customers the choice of different versions. For example, customers can migrate to the latest version free of charge or use the older version when launching a new Windows version. Also within Linux ExactHost often gives the choice between different versions of PHP and MySQL. ExactHost has always the latest version available, but does not automatically enforce this immediately. The choice is yours.
Double performed platforms
To guarantee the availability of your website, both platforms have been duplicated. In all cases, the websites are hosted on redundant clusters with failover capabilities to other machines. This ensures that your website is always online, on Linux and on Windows.
